Coffee Machine

I think my best two models are the fuel pump and the coffee machine, which is strange as I didn’t intend for these two to be the focal points of my asset pack. I think these models work well as they strike a nice balance between simplicity and detail. You can see in these images the difference between the high poly with 3d tiling and the low poly, this was to see how this detail would bake onto the low poly, which worked well to an extent. Though I do prefer to have the 3d information as the effect is ruined if you look at the model in anything other than front on view.

Wheel 1

I think the two wheels I ended with are okay, though I am annoyed the first wheel design I came up with went wrong as that was my favourite of the three. I think there is still a lot for me to learn about motor vehicle modelling, as when I started looking at tutorials it was like opening Pandora’s box of knowledge. Over the summer I plan to delve into these tutorials however I feel like these wheel serve as a decent start into a new method of modelling.

Wheel 2

I think of these two wheels I prefer the second one, as the tread I think looks a little more realistic. That being said I still think the tread is too wide, making the end result look like something that would belong on an off roading car as opposed to a Chrysler, which you would see in an American diner.
